Pippa worked with the Turquoise Mountain School for Jewellery and Gem-Cutting in Kabul, Afghanistan to create this piece. Turquoise Mountain jewellery makes use of Afghanistan's rich mineral resources, as well as its cultural heritage. The lapis mines are over 7,000 years old, and once supplied to the pharaohs of Ancient Egypt. This rich, royal blue lapis was mined in Badakhshan.
